Meet the Mastic Team

Justin J. Bonacci

PT, DPT, CFMT, ATC, CGFI, Principal

Dr. Bonacci received his BA from SUNY Stony Brook in ’94. In ’95 he received his National Certification as an Athletic Trainer and served the local High school community athletes. In ’97, Dr. Bonacci graduated Summa Cum Laude from the SUNY Stony Brook Physical Therapy program. Shortly after graduation, Justin joined the Spagnoli Physical Therapy “family”. Striving for further education, in 2001, Justin received his CFMT functional manual therapy certification with Honors, with the Institute of Physical Art. In 2003, he opened the Mastic Office of Spagnoli Physical Therapy in partnership with Robert and Peter Spagnoli. Over the years, Dr. Bonacci was a teacher’s assistant for the nationally known courses Cervical Thoracic Integration and Lumbo-Pelvic Integration through IMTS. He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from SUNY Stony Brook in 2005. Over the years, Dr. Bonacci’s desire for continued growth for knowledge has guided him in taking numerous continuing education courses focusing on the evaluation and treatment of the cervical, thoracic and lumbo-sacral spine, as well as shoulder, knee/hip dysfunction and injury. Justin believes that continued personal and educational growth helps put more “tools in the tool box” which he can use to help treat his patients and achieve successful outcomes. His passion for golf and the biomechanics of the golf swing directed Justin in receiving his certification as a Golf Fitness Instructor with the Titleist Performance Institute. When not helping patients, Justin enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and son.
